Bearing in mind the vision of MACAN, we created a brandmark suggesting dialogue as the unifying element of learning and community. The final ‘m’ of museum and the initial ‘m’ of Macan are fused together in an ongoing ‘conversation’. The colours and graphics of the identity also change in different contexts to reflect the diversity of Indonesian art, creating a system which is both flexible and fluid, while retaining a certain gravitas.
